ENOUGH produce ABUNDA® mycoprotein by fermenting fungi using renewable feedstocks to make the most sustainable source of food protein. Using fermentation to meet future food protein needs is widely recognised as being the most effective solution to feed a growing planet.

ENOUGH’s process is readily scalable to use any locally grown feedstock and with plans to extend beyond Europe, ENOUGH targets growing over a million tonnes by 2032. This is the equivalent of replacing 5 million cows, over 1.2 billion chickens, reducing more than 6 million tonnes of CO2 emissions or the equivalent of planting >30 million trees.

Built in 2022, the 15,000 square metre (160,000 square feet) facility is co-located alongside Cargill in Sas van Gent in the Netherlands and is one of the largest non-animal protein factories in Europe. It will have an initial capacity of 10,000 tonnes per annum, the equivalent of more than 5 cow’s worth of protein every hour. The location and collaboration with Cargill ensures an efficient feed source, as well as supporting zero-waste advantages of ENOUGH’s product. Our investment is creating new jobs and plans for more than 50,000 tonnes of capacity by 2027 that will ensure the team continues to grow. Learn more about our factory here.
